The 2010 Legends Golf Classic was a huge success. We were able to place 144 golfers in our sold out tournament!!!

Along with the help of our golfers, 24 partners and 21 donors, we were able to raise over $81,000 for the TRA Education Foundation.
First, we would like to thank our VERY generous partners for helping us put together our most successful tournament yet! Sysco has been a wonderful title partner for 6 years now and the TRAEF is looking forward to their partnership again next year! This is the first year our platinum partner
Champion Energy has joined us and we hope to see them back again in 2011!
As always, our players enjoyed a selection of delicious restaurants on the course. This year we had Bill MillerBar-B-Q, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Ettinger-Rosini & Associates, Johnny Cace’s Seafood and Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse and Preferred Restaurant Services. Along with those restaurants, we had one of our E-101 schools on the course, Del Valle High School. Del Valle Culinary Students not only helped the aforementioned restaurants, but also for the first time this year, hosted their own “taste” on a hole. What a great way to really enforce the "Making the Connection" theme from schools to vendors to restaurants!
Now for the games and winners!!! This was the third year we held a Poker Run on the course and the third year
US Foodservice partnered with this event. The cost to players is $20 and during this run players pick up cards at 5 designated holes along the course. At the end of the tournament the best hand takes half the pot. To see the winner and how we ended up making $2,271 on this event, click here!

Another first this year was the Helicopter Ball Drop, partnered with Hangman Corporation, where we took 859 golf balls into a helicopter and dropped them from the sky. The first one in the hole (or rather the closet one to the hole) won $500. This year we made over $6,310 and we can’t wait to see how much money can be raised for the Foundation next year! A big thanks to our
TRAEF Board, who sold 699 golf balls…without them, our gain would not have been as great!
