Texas ProStart Invitational
High school students enrolled in the Texas ProStart program compete in either the culinary or restaurant management category at this annual competition each spring.
The Texas ProStart Invitational is largest of all the state ProStart competitions and the only one to hold two regionals and a state final. In 2014, fifty-nine Texas high schools sent 90 teams, more than 440 students to compete at the two Texas ProStart Invitational regional competitions.
Congratulations to the first place culinary team from the Academy of Culinary Arts at Byron Nelson High School and the management team from Rockwall High School who will represent Texas at the National ProStart Invitational in Minneapolis in May.
