From Jamie Oliver’s reality TV show Food Revolution to First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign, the focus on what we eat is stronger than ever. According to a National Restaurant Association survey, local sourcing of ingredients, sustainability and nutrition are among the hottest trends on restaurant menus.
The Food Nutrition Center is an information center on the show floor dedicated to healthy dining. Restaurants, nutritionists, dieticians and chefs will have displays showcasing what types of programs and services are available to help restaurateurs and food service directors offer healthy choices to their customers. Guest speakers will lead interactive discussions on topics relevant to foodservice professionals as they seek to promote healthier lifestyles!
