The TRAEF offers several educational and innovative programs to build pathways from schools to careers in the foodservice industry. These programs are available to school districts across the state.
FS Prep The FS Prep Instructional Resource is a two-year comprehensive culinary and foodservice instructional resource for high school educators that incorporates ProStart. FS Prep is the standard for culinary curriculum in Texas and is used in more than 115 schools across the state. ![]()
ProStart is a nationally recognized school-to-work program that introduces high school juniors and seniors to the foodservice industry, teaching the basic skills they need to succeed in business.
ServSafe ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety program developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, providing high-quality safety education and training for the restaurant and foodservice industry. ![]()
Entrepreneur 101 The Entrepreneur 101 (E-101) program is a high school program that utilizes a school-based restaurant to teach students entrepreneurial skills. As part of the E-101 program, students will undertake responsibility as the owners and operators of this business with assistance from experienced business professionals and educators. ![]()
